Final Fantasy & Hell Girl Pendants - Nyan Cat Wallet

I've been super busy lately making a customer order and some holiday gifts.  I made and posted a Hell Girl Logo Pendant, a Sephiroth Dissidia Pendant, a Yuna & Lenne Pendant, a Moomba Pendant and a Nyan Cat Wallet.  The custom order I am working on is of a different version of the Sailor Moon Super S Purse with the Cosmic Heart Compact and Red Bow.

I have lots more Final Fantasy & Hell Girl Pendants in the works as well.

2 orders and a Nyan Cat

I am working on some more orders and decided that I wanted to give my boss a gift for Christmas.  I heard that he liked the Nyan Cat and decided that would be a fun wallet to add to my shop.  I took an original picture of just the Nyan Cat and added my own rainbow and background with photoshop.  I think it turned out pretty good.  If you like the design, please visit my Etsy shop because Nyan Kitty will be done in about 1-2 weeks :)  I am also planning on adding a Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword wallet soon.

Busy as a bee

I am so tired.  Work at the coffee shop has been keeping me very busy.  I'm glad for the money, but I want to be able to work on my business more.  Since NDK is approaching quickly I have to get my Miku costume finished and finish designing the Sailor Moon R purse for a customer.  I really want to make some cool Sailor Moon and anime jewelry too.  Luckily tomorrow I'm heading to Hobby Lobby and Michaels to see what my options are.  I though about doing the Laser Cut Acrylic jewelry, but it isn't hand made enough more me.  I am looking at using polymer clay and shrinky dinks for my designs.

Goal Attained & Miku Cosplay

Yeah!  So not only did I blow my goal out of the water I also sold 5 things in the month of June.  That is so awesome considering I would only sell little things off and on each month since I opened.  I know I didn't have much in my store and that is why I sold so little.  So I ended June with 691 views.  That's amazing!  My goal for this July is 800 views and hopefully 6 sales.  I will need to take a bit of a break from making new items to make my Duct Tape Miku costume.  I will still be filling all orders during that time, but not designing anything new until I get the costume finished.  It's gonna be so awesome.  I might sell those too, but I'm not sure yet.  I need to see how long and how much it costs to make one.  I think it will cost considerably less to make than a normal costume and it should go alot faster too.

Finished Purse & Price

Yeah the Sailor Moon Super S Purse is all done and it is awesome!  Pictures will never do justice to the stuff I sell.  I do the best I can, but it is really hard to capture sparkles in a camera.  If any of my readers could please give me a comment on how much you would pay for the Sailor Moon or Mini Moon purse please tell me.  I just don't know what a good price is for it.  Some of my friends think I am not charging enough.  Thank you.  Check it out at https://www.etsy.com/listing/103234496/sailor-moon-super-s-purse

Sailor Moon Super S Purse

The Sailor Mini Moon Purse turned out awesome and I have two requests on Etsy for Sailor Moon Super S purses, so I'm trying to get it done.  I really hope the people who want me to make the purse actually buy it when it's finished.  I have had people say they were going to buy something on Etsy and then they never do.  It's really frustrating.  If you say your going to do something, do it.  That's why my general rule is to not start production on something until it is actually ordered and paid for on Etsy.  I am really glad people out there like my designs.  I am still not sure the fairest price though.  Alot of hard work goes into each item I make, but I feel like since this stuff is made from duct tape I shouldn't charge too much.  IDK.  I'll figure it out eventually.

Artemis Wallet and Sailor Mini Moon Purse

I finished the Artemis wallet and I am currently working on a unique duct tape purse.  It is based on the Sailor Mini Moon's outfit from Super S.  It will be White, Pink and Yellow with ruffles and a heart.  I hope people will like it.  Alot of my items seem to be pretty popular.  I just know more items will sell soon.  Starting in July I will need to take a short break from making new items so I can make my costume for NDK.  As soon as I finish that I will get back to making new designs.  i have so many good ideas that I can't wait to share with everyone.  Soon enough :)

I also really like the new technique I am using.  It makes the designs on the wallets more precise and more durable.  It also takes less time for me to make each wallet by doing it that way.

I sold another Luna Wallet.  Also, my customer would like to buy an Artemis and Sailor Venus wallet from me.  I just finished making another Luna wallet and want to get started on the other two asap.  I have to make a gift for my father in-law first though.  I also tried doing the woven duct tape.  It's interesting and I liked making the green woven box for a friend.  I still need to finish the flower for it though.  I feel so busy right now.  I am also busy at my other job too.  I am working about 35 hours a week at the coffe shop and putting in countless hours on the business, but I think it's worth it.  I am really happy that people like my little wallets.  I just knew I would sell them.  How could you resist?

Business Connections

Great News!  After I sent my first wallet to my customer, I went to one of my favorite restaurants called Himilyan Cuisine to have lunch.  I was talking to the own that I've known for awhile and started talking about my business and things that I make.  He said he would like to sell my wallets in his shop.  I couldn't believe it.  He said we could work out a wholesale cost for him or I can just consign them in his shop.  I am so excited!  Things just keep getting better and I'm loving it.  Stay positive and those good vibes will start working for you:)  I have so much work to do........

Sold my first duct tape wallet!!

Yeah!  I sold my first duct tape wallet.  I sold the Luna wallet, so I had better get to work right away.  Got to get it shipped asap.  I am really a customer service driven person and I hope my customers realize that because if something was wrong with an item I sent them, I would do whatever I could to resolve the problem.  I am so happy that it took less than a month to sell my first wallet.  I posted that on May 21, 2012 and it sold on June 6, 2012.  It took only 16 days to sell the first item.  That's so AWESOME!  Okay, I'm bouncing off the walls and it's 11:15pm.  At least I don't have to go to my "Day Job" until the afternoon tomorrow, lol.  LUNA ROCKS!!!!!

Captain America Wallet

I am so excited.  I figured out a better way to make my wallets which will make them stronger and faster to make.  I bought a laminater and will be using it in all my new designs.  It works sooo good.  I wish I had made my first wallet this way, but being creative requires alot of trial and error :)  I am posting the new Captain America Wallet now.  I decided to make the Captain America wallet for my Dad because he likes him.  I gotta make one more Father's Day gift for my father in-law and then I will be back to making more fun stuff from Sailor Moon, Naruto, Bleach, Vampire Knight, Fairy Tail, Fullmetal Alchemist and much more :) Click on the Captain America Wallet to be taken to my Etsy website.

New Goal

So that GOAL I set for June, I actually beat in May, which is sooo awesome.  My highest number of views was 125 and I beat it by 1 view at 126 views.  My new GOAL for JUNE is to have twice as many views as the previous month.  I think I can do it.  That means I need to have 252 views in the month of JUNE.  I am going to be working super hard to get more stuff posted, so I can get more views and more sales :)

Spiral Duct Tape Flower's

I am so exited.  I taught myself how to make those pretty duct tape flowers spiral for my tins.  I'll post a picture on here soon.  Just gotta get it finished :)  There are 68 petals, 2 zebra leaves and 1 pink metallic pearl in the middle on the flower.  It is also super cool cause it's MAGNETIC, so you can put it anywhere on the tin or even on a fridge :)  If you want to buy it click on it and you will be taken to my etsy site.

I finished and posted the Hatsune Miku Love Is War wallet the other day.  I have some more vocaloid stuff to work on, but I am going to be making these awesome decorative tins and some more sailor moon stuff. 

I am going to try and attemp to go to Animeland Wasabi in March to sell my stuff there.  I am just worried that I may not be able to go due to the time of year and it being super busy at work.  Luckily, my husband said he would cover my booth for me so it wouldn't be a complete waste if I can't go.  Also, I'm not sure how many of each item I will need for the convention.  I guess it will be a learning experience.  At least I have plenty of time to figure it out and make lots of stuff.

Re-listed Etsy Item

I was really silly and had an item that I had sold on Etsy awhile ago, but forgot to repost.  I have all the materials to remake the item.  I wonder why I didn't repost it sooner? 
GOAL
My goal for next month is to have more shop views than any other month before.  It looks like it will go good as long as I keep adding new items.  I also want to have more views and revenue for my shop than last year.  These are my little goals to keep me motivated :)

Hi All,

Alright, so this is my very first blog. I have been so busy lately that I figured that this would be faster than trying to Vlog. I started a small business last year and I am working on making it grow, so I have been busy designing new products and getting networking ready for it. I started making duct tape wallets and I absolute love them. It is a fun medium to work with and it allows me endless possibilities. I use sharpie to create the designs on the wallets. I take alot of time and care to create each item. I know people will love the items in my store and I'm sure that things will be selling in no time. Since I am a super busy business women I am going to keep my blogs short and to the point.

So, on my duct tape wallets, I like covering the image with clear tape to protect the image. I was having alot of trouble with air pockets/bubbles. Luckily, I found how to properly apply the clear tape so there a virtually no bubbles anymore, just a few. I am so happy because they were driving me nuts. So If you see bubbles on items I posted before May 25th those should come out alot better on my new wallets since I know how to make them better. Yeah!  I'll have to remake those wallets and take new pictures soon. I will be posting the Hatsune Miku - Love Is War Wallet soon and it has almost no bubbles in it. I work so hard on those little wallets, I hope I make a sale soon.
